The Robert Cray Band Comes to Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort

JACKSON, CA- Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort welcomes back Rock Blues Icon Robert Cray to the Grand Oak Ballroom Stage on Thursday, December 11 at 7 p.m.

The five-time Grammy Award winner has had an astonishing four-decade career as an American Blues Artist. Mostly self-taught, Cray learned how to play the guitar at a young age and was first inspired by the legendary artists like George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, and Albert Collins. Since the Robert Cray Band was established in the early 1970’s, Cray has released sixteen Billboard charting studio albums.

In April 2011, Rolling Stone Magazine credited Robert Cray with reinventing blues with “his distinct razor sharp guitar playing” that “introduced a new generation of mainstream rock fans to the language and form of blues.” Shortly after, Cray was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame at the age of 57. The Robert Cray Band has opened, performed, and collaborated with many artists, including Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bonnie Raitt, and John Lee Hooker!
